October 17 Homework

Today's agenda note:
1) Homework for tonight: access "Oct.17HW" on your Google Drive and work on the tasks. Below is the document that was shared with your child, if he or she is having trouble finding it in the "shared with me" section of Google Drive.

Task #1
Share this website with your parents. Show them the survey that you have already completed. If you didn’t have time to complete it in class, try it now with your parents. They can help explain the statements as you submit your answers, just like how Ms. Hurst did. You can ‘skip’ the page that asks you to submit personal information and it will still provide you with your results. Share the graph and then click on a topic to see how you align with other parties. Show them your work today. They can even do the survey themselves!

Share the two websites we have been accessing to research political platforms. These two websites were provided to us from studentvote.ca

Tuesday, October 15 Reminder

Outdoor Field Trip This Morning Just a reminder that we have an outdoor field trip today from 9-noon. We will be learning outside in the Shaganappi gully. It will be damp and chilly since we'll be in the gully surrounded by trees. Please have your child dress for the weather and outdoor learning conditions. I'd recommend wearing layers because they can be removed as the morning progresses. Warm jackets, hats/toques, gloves and scarves are suggested. Sturdy and warm footwear is recommended.  Thank you for supporting your child in having a successful morning outside, learning in nature.
