Upcoming October Events

Thursday, October 3 is a patrol meeting for all 'new' and 'old' patrollers in Room 8 from 12:00-12:15. Students will receive one paper copy of the following documents: patrol schedule and AMA School Safety Patrol Manual. The manual will need to be studied at home in order for students to be successful on the upcoming written and verbal tests. They'll need to be familiar with patrol rules and they will need to memorize the patrol promise in order to recite it aloud.

Tuesday, October 8 is Picture Day (handout in the pocket of your child's agenda)
Thursday, October 10 is noon dismissal for all students
Friday, October 11 is no school for students because of teacher professional development
Monday, October 14 is no school because of Thanksgiving
Tuesday, October 15 is our morning gully walking field trip with Ann and Sandy's Cross Conservation
Thursday, October 17 is the patrol written test and patrol promises will be recited
Friday, October 18 is a sharing assembly, all parents are welcome to attend
Thursday, October 24 is Fun Lunch

Tuesday, October 15 Reminder

Outdoor Field Trip This Morning Just a reminder that we have an outdoor field trip today from 9-noon. We will be learning outside in the Shaganappi gully. It will be damp and chilly since we'll be in the gully surrounded by trees. Please have your child dress for the weather and outdoor learning conditions. I'd recommend wearing layers because they can be removed as the morning progresses. Warm jackets, hats/toques, gloves and scarves are suggested. Sturdy and warm footwear is recommended.  Thank you for supporting your child in having a successful morning outside, learning in nature.
