Homework

On Monday, twenty minutes of Mathletics homework was assigned per night to students.

We chatted about having a balance of 'work and play' after school and the difference between being busy and procrastinating. We talked about the importance of sleep, too!

It's encouraged for students to use paper and a pencil to help with solving Mathletics questions. We often use Boogie Boards in the classroom setting when doing online work. At times, writing down equations and showing work helps to calculate accurate answers. Having a designated notebook to do this work in is a great idea. Also, students were reminded to click on the question mark within the lesson if they feel like they are struggling with the concept.

Other homework ideas are to continue with typing.com (they each have an account), to access the Math online games shared by the teacher on Google Drive, and to read, read, read!
