1) Thoroughly complete the news article template in preparation for tomorrow’s lesson, write a possible headline on the back of the sheet, show your parents, and have your parents sign the top near your name.


2) Complete ten more minutes of research on Google Drive about Afghanistan, the setting of our next class novel study. Do not copy and paste the facts.

We have been studying for a Science test during class time. We are learning what it means to study and what works best for each person. What We Learned: Uranus is the furthest planet from the sun in our solar system. Pluto is a dwarf planet. Earth spins (rotates) around its axis. Mercury is the hottest planet. There is a star called "Beetle Juice". The Earth revolves around the sun. The North Star is about 400 light years away. The sun's highest point in the sky, every day, may not be exactly at noon (12:00). The sun rises in the East and then moves to the West, setting in the West. The Big Dipper and the Little Dipper are actually parts of constellations called Ursa Major and Ursa Minor. Ursa means bear, major means big and minor means small.
